Day 01: Cochin – Athirappally

Pickup from Cochin Railway Station / Airport. On arrival check in at the Hotel. Later visit Athirapally Waterfalls (also known as “Niagara Falls of India”), the stunning waterfalls which is like a gift from nature is one of the main tourist attractions. To reach the waterfalls we have to take a short walk through the Athirapally Forest. Many endangered and endemic species of flora and fauna are found in the forest. After reaching the waterfalls the view of having a combination of greenery with the crystal clear water is just tremendous. A perfect destination for the trekking and nature loving people. The waterfalls here flow through the Vazhachal forest toward the Arabian Sea.

Day 02: Athirappally

After breakfast visit proceed your sightseeing in and around Vazhachal & Athirappally. Vazhachal Falls is situated in Athirappilly Panchayath of Thrissur district in Kerala on the southwest coast of India. Located on the west-flowing Chalakudy River near the Vazhachal Forest Division and at the edge of the Sholayar ranges, it is just 5 km from entrance of Athirappilly Falls. he Forests are situated on the Western slopes of the Western Ghats. The whole area is hilly and undulating, the eastern portion being more rugged than the west. This rugged Eastern portion has many valleys of which Sholayar, Watchmaram, Vazhachal etc. are the important ones. The northeastern portion of this division like Malakkappara, Sholayar, Chandanthodu, Sheikalmudi, Ambalappara, Anakkayam etc. and the northern portion of Orukomban, Karanthodu, Orukombankutty, Karimalagopuram and the Southern portion of Rapra, Kalakkallen, Oolassery, Choozhimedu and the Western portion of Vadamuri, Athirapally, Thadimudi etc. are with dense forests. The altitude varies from 200 m to 1300 m, the highest point being Karimalakomban in Sholayar Range.

Day 04: Valparai

After having your breakfast move to Valparai and visit the second deepest dam in the continent of Asia-Aliyar Dam-a reservoir located 27 kms away from pollachi on the foothills of Valparai, The dam offers some ideal gateways including a park, an aquarium and a mini Theme-Park maintained by Tamilnadu Fisheries Corporation. It is an ideal picnic spot. Move to Monkey Falls-9th kms junction on the Pollachi-Valparai road. a magnificient falls situated near Aliyar Dam between Pollachi and Valparai in the Anamalai Hills. After lunch, drive to the mesmerizing view point i.e., Loam’s View Point-9th hair pin bend on the Pollachi-Valparai route from where you get the panoramic view from Aliyar Dam, the surrounding mountains of Western Ghats and the Pollachi town.
